The International Coalition of Library Consortia (ICOLC) is an informal, self-organized group currently comprising approximately 200 library consortia in North and South America, Europe, Australia, Asia, and Africa. Twice per year ICOLC conducts meetings dedicated to keeping participating consortia informed about issues of importance to directors, governing boards, and libraries of consortia. Only consortial staff and members are permitted to attend the meetings.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we were not able to hold the in-person meeting in April, as planned. In place of an in-person gathering, we invite you to attend the first ever Virtual ICOLC Meeting. While we are sorry that we can’t see everyone in person, the virtual meeting will provide an opportunity for us to share information and ideas at a time when it is more critical than ever. The program will include 9 sessions spread over 3 afternoons as well as opportunities for networking and catching up with colleagues.
The virtual meeting will take place on Zoom and attendees will be able to interact throughout the event. Join us for all three days or as many sessions as fit your schedule. It’s our hope that the virtual format will allow even more people to participate.
Although we can't be together in person, we can still enjoy a little social interaction with colleagues – virtually! Please join us for one or more social events listed below. Please note that these Zoom events will take place outside the regular meeting and separate registration is required.
Virtual Welcome Brunch (Monday, July 20th, 11:00- 11:45am EST)
Join us for an informal meet-up with other ICOLC 2020 Virtual Meeting attendees. Due to the virtual nature of the event, meals are on your own, but we can still share a table - virtually. Bring your own tea, coffee, breakfast, or lunch and say “Hi!” to colleagues before the sessions begin.
Tuesday Evening Social (Tuesday, July 21st, 7:00- 9:00pm EST)
Join us for a fun evening of socializing with your fellow ICOLC 2020 Virtual Meeting attendees. We will have two rooms open for this event - one for simply chatting and catching up with colleagues and one featuring a live trivia game. Bring your own beverage of choice and join us for some social interaction virtually!
Virtual Executive Director Social (Wednesday, July 22nd, 11:00-11:45am EST)
This session will give Consortial Executive Directors the chance to chat with their colleagues and discuss current issues that consortia are facing.
