Charge

The charge of PASCAL’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) committee is to support PASCAL and its member institutions in developing and promoting a diverse workforce and to foster EDI in policies, practices, programming, and services both internally and externally. Acknowledging that EDI is everyone’s responsibility, the committee will engage PASCAL members to create initiatives that foster a welcoming and supportive community. The Committee will report to the Program Steering Committee.

Actions within the scope of the committee may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessing needs related to EDI and proposing strategies for assessing progress
  • Identifying challenges and strengths in achieving EDI goals and making recommendations to the Board regarding ways to achieve EDI goals
  • Collaborating with our partners to promote, support, sponsor and celebrate EDI within the larger education and library community
  • Assessing and reviewing PASCAL procedures, policies, and organizational structure relative to EDI
  • Facilitating workshops and programs related to EDI for PASCAL members
