PASCAL will hold an election in May to fill two seats on the Shared LSP Steering Committee.
The Shared LSP Steering Committee is a standing committee that provides oversight for the Shared Library Services Platform (SLSP), facilitates alignment to PASCAL’s strategic agenda, resolves conflicts, and vets high-level recommendations from the SLSP Implementation & Management Team and SLSP Working Groups. The committee is made up of seven members including five elected members representing each type of institution within PASCAL: research, four-year public, four-year independent, two-year, and special libraries.
The PASCAL Board is seeking nominations for representatives for the following seats:
The term of service is two years (July 2024- June 2026).
Library staff from the institution types listed above may nominate themselves, or members at any participating SLSP institution may nominate library staff working at a Four-Year Independent Institution or a Two-Year Institution. If you wish to nominate someone other than yourself, please obtain that individual’s permission before submitting.
Nominations will be accepted April 1 – 30, 2024. All nominees must submit a brief professional biography (200 words or less).
To submit a nomination please complete the nomination form.
All nominations MUST be approved by the nominees' direct supervisor and the library dean or director. Nominations received will be verified by email to the nominee, their direct supervisor and the library dean or director.
Please Note: Members of the SLSP Steering Committee, with the exception of the two ex officio members, may NOT serve on the PASCAL Board, SLSP Implementation & Management Team, or the SLSP Working Groups. The ex officio members include the SLSP Program Coordinator and a PASCAL Board representative.
Voting will be conducted online, May 6-17, 2024. Each participating SLSP library will have one vote and votes will be cast by the Library Representative for each institution.
The nominating process and elections will be supervised by the Board’s Program Steering Committee.
