PASCAL is seeking a Systems Librarian. We’re looking for a service-oriented, detail-driven, creative individual to join a team supporting a statewide academic Shared Library Service Platform (SLSP) as a Systems Librarian. The system is an Ex Libris Alma and Primo VE implementation for 55 academic libraries. The team also supports a single-sign on solution, OpenAthens, for 44 of its member libraries. Working in close cooperation with other members of the SLSP Team, the incumbent will develop technical expertise within the system in order to support the team’s mission to provide effective and efficient support to member libraries.
We are committed to helping our future colleague develop their knowledge, skills and abilities. The position will provide an opportunity to gain substantial, marketable technical experience managing state-of-the-art library technology in an exciting environment. Applicants are encouraged to think broadly about and communicate how their skills and experiences transfer to the qualifications in ways that may not be immediately obvious. We welcome applicants with a range of experiences, including those new to the profession. We are seeking applicants that are committed to developing a career in academic, systems or consortial librarianship. PASCAL values a collaborative approach to meeting user needs, a willingness to experiment with new methods and technologies, and an openness to change.
