We’re hiring for two new positions that will be instrumental in PASCAL's Shared Library Services Platform Initiative:
We’re looking for a team-oriented person with a strong background implementing and managing complex systems in libraries, excellent communication, coordination and technical skills, and an adventurous spirit.
PASCAL libraries are engaged in the procurement and implementation of a shared Library Services Platform (LSP) for all member libraries. Overarching goals of the initiative are to enhance and expand collaborative efforts among PASCAL libraries while streamlining operations and eliminating redundancies associated with legacy systems that were designed primarily for management of print collections.
The Shared LSP Coordinator reports to the PASCAL Executive Director and is responsible to the PASCAL Board of Directors. Incumbent will be responsible for coordinating collaborative leadership, oversight, and management of the new Shared Library Services Platform (SLSP) for PASCAL member libraries. Coordinates PASCAL member libraries, vendors, PASCAL staff, and SLSP governance groups. Serves as primary representative on behalf of members with SLSP vendor and any other shared services provider. Supervises SLSP systems and technology support staff at PASCAL. Works with representatives of member libraries to develop and maintain consortial policies, procedures, and best practices. Performs other duties as required.

Working in close collaboration with member libraries, SLSP governance groups, and system vendors, the Project Manager will coordinate the development of an implementation plan and assist with system configuration and technical support. Incumbent will be responsible for leading the collaborative implementation of the new shared library services platform (SLSP). Will facilitate planning and coordinating online and in-person training for PASCAL and member library staff online. Performs other duties as required.
