SCALE - For Faculty

Open Textbook Network Faculty Workshops

PASCAL will host five virtual Open Textbook Network Faculty Workshops in July. The 1-hour workshops will introduce faculty to open textbooks and the benefits they can bring to student learning, pedagogical freedom, and college affordability. Each session will be subject based, in order to help faculty locate and use open educational resources specific to their field.

As institutions reopen in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, now is a great time to learn how open educational resources (OER) can help both you and your students get the most out of your class, whether in-person or online.  OER is a sustainable resource for institutions, providing much needed flexibility while increasing student access and cost savings. For more on ways that OER can help in re-opening education, see our Using OER to Re-Open Education flier.

Workshop attendees will have the opportunity to review a textbook that is in the Open Textbook Library.  Attendees who write a review will receive an official thank you letter from PASCAL.
