Join us June 10-12, 2025 in Columbia, SC for the PASCAL Member Conference!

Our second annual member conference will bring together library professionals from across the PASCAL community to share knowledge, build connections, and celebrate our collective achievements. With opportunities for in-person and online participation, this year’s conference will feature inspiring sessions, valuable insights, and opportunities for collaboration with colleagues from across the state.

Please note: We are not able to offer a hotel discount for conference attendees. However, Government/Military rate is available at these hotels (for federal, state, county, local government employees, Military personnel, and State-funded higher education universities and healthcare facilities qualify). If you do not see the GSA rate when booking your room, please call the hotel and speak directly with a staff member to have the rate adjusted.


Parking Information:

  • Parking for the Pastides Alumni Center is available in the Park Street Garage, located at 1007 Park Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
    • 1st hour: FREE | 2nd hour: $3.00 | Each additional hour: $1.00 | Maximum daily rate: $15.00 | Lost Ticket: $15. Accepted forms of payment: cash, credit card, NFC Payments (credit/debit card, Apple Pay & Google Pay) https://parking.columbiasc.gov/facilities/
    • Access to the Pastides Alumni Center from within the Park Street parking garage is on Level 2. This Pastides Alumni Center entrance is accessible from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Limited metered parking spaces are located in close proximity of the Pastides Alumni Center on Senate Street. Please see the City of Columbia’s New Parking Ordinance for additional information on rates and enforcement.


Check-In:

Please check in at the registration desk to receive your nametag and conference materials. See the linked floorplans below for detailed location information. The registration desk opens at 8:30AM on Wednesday, June 11 (Day 1) and at 8:00 AM on Thursday, June 12 (Day 2) at the Pastides Alumni Center, in the lobby on the first floor.


Exhibits:

The Exhibit area will be open on Thursday, June 12th from 8:00AM – 3:00PM at the Pastides Alumni Center in the Grand Ballroom Pre-function area. Make sure to stop by and say hello to our sponsors and partners in the exhibit area!


Wi-Fi Access:

The Pastides Center offers access to a complimentary shared Wi-Fi network. This network can be accessed by connecting to “USCGuest” in your list of networks.


Meals and Refreshments:

A continental breakfast, buffet lunch, and afternoon snack will be provided on both days. A beverage station with coffee, tea, water and canned sodas will be available throughout both days.

Dine-arounds: 

We have arranged for pay-individually dine-arounds at four local restaurants on Wednesday, June 11. If you’re in town that evening, join PASCAL staff and fellow attendees for dinner and networking.

Dine-around sign-up sheets will be available at the registration table. Dine-around groups will meet at the Pastides Center at 5pm on Wednesday, June 11 to walk or drive to the area restaurants together (most restaurants are a short walking distance but one will require transportation so we will carpool).  


Virtual Attendee Logistics:

If you are attending sessions on Wednesday June 11th, as a virtual attendee, you will receive information for Zoom sessions closer to the event.
Session Interaction:

  • Chat: Use the Zoom chat function to ask questions during Q&As, as well as engage with other attendees and with speakers.
  • Technical Support: If you encounter any issues, please use the chat to ask for assistance or email Alex Selvey.

Hybrid sessions on Day 1 will be recorded and available to registered attendees after the conference. Instructions on accessing the recordings will be provided via email.
